Kay Thinline Pro Electric Guitar Model 1993 from 1960. The body is of laminated curly maple. It has a slim, steel reinforced 24 1/2" adjustable neck with a rosewood scale with pearl block position markers. The bone nut is carefully fitted and adjustable. Frets are of nickel silver. The top and back edges are bound with striking black and white binding. (This is what drew me to the guitar many years ago). An adjustable rosewood bridge is used. It comes in its original case. One of the pickups is not working. Thinking that it had failed in some way, I located an identical replacement which is included with the guitar. When I took it to a local shop, testing with an ohmmeter indicated that it might not be a failed pickup but a cold solder joint that had failed after 50+ years. i have been unable to find a local luthier who is willing to take it apart to repair it. Otherwise the guitar is in great shape and plays well. Cosmetically, there are a few scratches in the black paint, most notably on the back of the neck. Ask any questions. Sold "As is".
